The MSc Computing programme by Teesside University provides students the flexibility to tailor a course to meet their own requirements from within the computing area. This is particularly suited for students to update their skills and/or gain breadth in computing, covering such areas as systems design, hardware, networks, web, programming, databases and IT management.

The programme is awarded by Teesside University, UK. On successful completion students will be well prepared for positions in various Information Technology management roles. Classes will be conducted at Botho University, Gaborone.

Learning, Teaching & Assessment

Guided Learning: The students will be exposed to lectures, tutorials and supervised study by the teachers.

Lectures: The teacher will present materials either orally or by the use of other teaching aids. Online Learning: The lecture notes, online tests, additional study material, discussion groups and links to related subjects will be made available to students.

Independent Learning: The students will have to do self-directed independent learning where the teacher will be acting as a guide.

Assessment: All modules are assesed by In Course Assessment (ICA)


The MSc Computing at Botho University is designed to provide flexibility to students who may also be working professionals. However, other candidates fulfilling the entry requirements are also welcome. Both full time and part time modes of study are available.

The programme duration is two or three years depending on the mode of study chosen. In full time mode the programme may be started in October, February or June.
